A touchscreen enabled Android smartphone developed by Sony Mobile, the new Sony Xperia Z is now available. This phone was announced and released publicly last February 2013. Operated by Android OS v4.1.2 Jellybean that can upgradable to v4.2.2, the Xperia Z has endurance rating of battery life 48H and has stamina mode which can increase its standby time up to 4times.The phone was protected by Glass-fiber Polyamide, Shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass, its front is Dragontrail Glass and the back is Corning Gorilla Glass and also water proof phone which allows to immerse under 1metre of fresh water for up to 30minutes.
Its camera has 13.1MP primary with LED Flash and 16x digital zoom. Its secondary camera is 2.2MP and can record video at 1080p HD. Other camera features includes sweep panorama, geo-tagging, touch focus and HDR. It also using Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine 2 to enhance the color and quality of the pictures.
